Minority Capital Partners launches fund raising for its maiden fund
Minority Capital Partners LLP, a specialist UK mid-market mezzanine and minority equity investment firm established by industry veterans Bruce McLaren and Alastair Weinel has received its authorisation from the Financial Services Authority. Formal fundraising for the maiden £150m fund has now commenced.
Managing Partner, Bruce McLaren said "We are delighted that we are now an authorised firm. Our preliminary marketing has demonstrated that there is serious institutional LP interest in Minority Capital Partners as well as support from the HNW community known to the team. We also have a strong pipeline of transactions which is very encouraging. We now anticipate moving forward with a fund closing relatively soon."

Industry veterans target £400m for debt funds
Three veterans of the UK private equity industry are seeking to raise a total of £400m (€485m) for new debt funds, aiming to profit from a financing gap for small UK buyouts.
